专辑的第一主打单曲《俄罗斯轮盘（Russian Roulette）》与美国东部时间10月20日的中午11点23分在Rihanna的个人官方网站上首播。该单曲的MV将在ABC的黄金时间首播。
《俄罗斯轮盘（Russian Roulette）》是由Rihanna的同门师哥Ne-Yo操刀创作的，这已经不是这位畅销歌手兼创作人为师妹第一次创作歌曲了。Rihanna的第一首金曲《罪爱（Unfaithful）》（2006年专辑《像我一样的女孩》），他们共同合唱的金曲《我恨我爱你（Hate That I Love You）》（2007年专辑《坏坏乖乖女》），冠军单曲《鞠躬（Take a Bow）》（2008年专辑《坏坏乖乖女：重新出发》）都是出自于他手。除了Ne-Yo之外，这张专辑的创作团队还包括The-Dream创作团队，Tricky Stewart, Chase & Status, Stargate, Justin Timberlake等等。
